Ever since I can remember worms give me the willies. I dreaded the walk to school on rainy mornings because I knew they would be out in full force. Even now I don’t know if it’s the thought of squishing them (in my head I always imagine they would make a “squish” noise and I would feel their little bodies crumpling under my weight- ewwww!) or the thought of holding their slimy bodies that creep me out more.

We just got over a bout of rain the last few weeks so they’ve been on my mind but these worms are adorable and I wouldn’t mind having them around!

It feels like it went from summer to fall overnight here in MN! While I’m not fond of the cooler weather I do love that it gives me a reason to wear my knit hats and scarves. I’ve got enough to outfit the Brady Bunch but I’m sure I’ll be making a few more this year as I do every year! The trees are still pretty green but I’m looking forward to seeing the beautiful yellow, reds and oranges that come with the changing weather.

Does the Suggested Shops feature really find items that I would like? The verdict would be a happy why yes it does! I gave it a go and found some great items. These are just a few and it just so happened that after I hearted 4 of them I noticed the blue and pink trend. Anyone want to take a stab at what my favorite colors are?!

Blue isn’t always sad! Yesterday I got my nails done and learned that neon colors are hot hot hot. This treasury is for my manicurist who sent me home with neon blue.

I used to work at the gift wrap department in Marshal Fields (which became Dayton’s and then Macy’s) and saw many wedding registry gifts come through. In case you were interested or ever find you’re on a trivia show- the most popular items are towels and silverware. Not too exciting right? Being Asian it’s typical to give cash so I’ve rarely had the opportunity to shop a registry but if I were given the choice I think I would deviate and buy the happy couple something special and unique from Etsy of course!

OK… I’ll be honest, this treasury is totally all me and what I would love… wedding or not! (Psss… husband are you reading?!)

Our mission at the toy store last weekend was to pick up a set of Legos for the Little Peanut. While browsing the aisles we came upon a Thomas & Friends train table and had a hard time prying her away from it. She really enjoyed pushing the trains around the track, going up and down the hills and making the bridge move. So in the end we abandoned the Legos and went with a train set.

She just adores it and wants to play with it first thing in the morning. I really like that its wooden and built to last. Inspired by the quality of our new toy (I say our because sometimes I think we enjoy it more then she does! We’re already thinking about buying more tracks to expand…) I found these amazing items on Etsy.

We had a rainy July 4th morning and every once in awhile we get to see the most gorgeous rainbows (like this one). There wasn’t one for us to see that morning so I’ve made my own! Here is my rainbow….

I may have to change the theme to treasuries because now that I’ve made one I see what the love is about!

Tennis brings back a lot of great memories for me. It was a real bonding sport for my family. I still remember going out to the courts as a kid watching my mom and dad play with their wooden rackets. It wasn’t until middle school that my dad put a racket in my (and my sisters) hands. Thinking about it now I bet it was because we were bored out of our skulls over summer break and he wanted to give us something to do!

That summer and every summer after that for the next 5-6 years we played. He rounded up friends and friends of friends and we played until the sun went down and we couldn’t see anymore. We also gathered around the TV during the big 4 tournaments and watched Sampras, Agassi, Courier, Seles and Graph duke it out for the championship.

As the Wimbledon finals approach this weekend I was inspired by the green grass and white attire, but this week instead of choosing my favorites I took the plunge and made my very own treasury. I hope you enjoy!
